This privacy policy explains how Cleanno collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our platform. It applies to all visitors and users of the Site, both individuals who wish to use services ("Clients") and natural or legal persons offering services ("Cleaners").
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller for the processing of your personal data is:

When this policy refers to "we", "us" or "our", this means Cleanno.
2. What data do we collect?
We collect different categories of personal data depending on how you use our services:
2.1. Data you provide during registration and use:
- Identification data: Name, first name, e-mail address, telephone number.
- Location data: The address where the cleaning services are to be carried out.
- Account security: Password (stored encrypted).
- For Cleaners (additionally): Company number, VAT number, copy of identity card (for legal verification), profile photo, proof of insurance (if applicable).
2.2. Financial data:
- Transaction data: History of bookings, amounts paid, commissions withheld and payouts.
- Payment data: We do not store full credit card numbers ourselves. Payments are processed by our payment partner. We do process your IBAN account number (for payouts to Cleaners) and payment status.
2.3. Communication data:
- Chat history: Messages sent via the internal chat system between Client and Cleaner.
- Customer service: E-mails or messages you send directly to Cleanno.
2.4. Automatically collected data (Technical data):
- IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, date and time of access, and data collected via cookies (see our cookie policy).
3. Why do we process your data? (Purposes and legal bases)
We process your data exclusively on the basis of the following legal grounds (pursuant to Art. 6 GDPR):

4. Who do we share your data with?
Your data is not sold to third parties. We only share it in the following cases:
1. Between Users (Mutual exchange): To enable the execution of the service, contact details are exchanged once the booking is definitively confirmed:
- What the Cleaner receives: The name, exact address and telephone number of the Client (for navigation and access).
- What the Client receives: The first name, profile photo and telephone number of the Cleaner (for practical arrangements and emergencies).
- Note: As long as a booking is not confirmed, contact details remain shielded and communication takes place exclusively via the chat on the Site.
2. Service providers (Processors): We work with external parties who process data on our behalf, such as: payment provider (for escrow management and facilitating payments via the Site), hosting and IT partners (for secure storage of the database), accountant (for tax obligations). We have concluded a processing agreement with all these parties to guarantee the security of your data.
3. Government authorities: If we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. in case of a police investigation or tax audit), we share data with the competent authorities.
5. International transfers
Your data is primarily processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). If we use service providers outside the EEA (e.g. American software tools), we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as an EU adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
6. How long do we keep your data?
We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Active account: As long as you use our services.
- Invoicing and payment data: 7 years (statutory tax retention period in Belgium).
- Chat history: 5 years after the last interaction (as evidence in case of contractual disputes).
- Data after deactivation: After closure of the account, identification data is deleted or anonymised, unless a statutory period obliges us to retain it longer.
7. How do we secure your data?
Cleanno takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, theft or unlawful access. This includes:
- Secure SSL connections (https) for the entire website.
- Hashing of passwords (we cannot read your password).
- Restricted access to personal data for staff (need-to-know principle).
- Back-up systems to prevent data loss.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
1. Right of access: You may ask which data we hold about you.
2. Right to rectification: You may ask to correct inaccurate data.
3. Right to erasure ("Right to be forgotten"): You may ask to delete your data, unless we are legally obliged to retain it (e.g. for tax purposes).
4. Right to restriction of processing: You may ask for less data to be processed.
5. Right to data portability: You may ask to receive your data in a structured file.
6. Right to object: You may object to processing on the basis of legitimate interest (such as direct marketing).
How to exercise? Send an e-mail to info@cleanno.be with a copy of the front of your identity card (to verify your identity). We will respond within 30 days.
9. Data transfer to Cleaners and Clients
Since Cleanno transfers personal data of the Client (including address) to the Cleaner and vice versa for the performance of the assignment, specific rules apply to the Cleaner and the Client.
By using the Site, the Cleaner/Client accepts the role of Processor (or in certain cases joint controller) with regard to this data and undertakes to:
1. Use the Client's/Cleaner's data exclusively for the performance of the cleaning assignment.
2. Keep the data strictly confidential and not share it with third parties.
3. Not use the data for own promotional purposes or spam.
4. Delete the data from personal devices (such as navigation history) as soon as the assignment is completed and the statutory liability period has expired.
Cleanno is not liable for breaches of privacy legislation committed by the Cleaner/Client outside the technical environment of the Site.
10. Complaints
We do everything we can to respect your privacy. If you nevertheless have a complaint, we first ask you to contact us via info@cleanno.be.
If we cannot reach a resolution together, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

11. Changes
Cleanno may amend this privacy statement from time to time to comply with new regulations or business needs. The most recent version is always available on the Site. In case of significant changes, we will inform you by e-mail.
